I love sharing these kind of YOUTUBE videos with my daughter back in New Jersey. "Yea, this video was made about 5 blocks from my apartment."
Written by cartoonist Eric T Styles about moving into the French Quarter of New Orleans. The day to day experience of living in one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. The Quarter Rat is the name of the publication that Styles illustrates for featuring off the wall stories as told by locals who work as bartenders, bouncers, dancers and in the service industry on Bourbon Street.

Yeah, Trigger got his moves down.
ReplyDeleteSlightly off topic, I've always loved watching the mounted police clear the Quarter at midnight Mardi Gras night. After all those days of crazy, the clock strikes twelve, and BAM. Mardi Gras is OVER.
No one argues with a horse. One of my most vivid memories of Bourbon Street, was immediately after a shooting. Two mounted cops galloping through a crowded Bourbon with weapons drawn responding to the shooting. Looked like the wild west.
